Jub-Jub back in court today

All eyes will be on the Johannesburg magistratescourt on Thursday morning as controversial TV presenter Molemo “Jub Jub” Maarohanye makes another court appearance.

Jub Jub is a successful hip hop artist and TV presenter of popular shows such as Uyajola 9/9, You Promised to Marry Me and Uthando Noxolo.

He is particularly known for Uyajola 9/9 because of the controversy surrounding the show.

But his personal life has also been under the radar. Jub Jub was arrested a few weeks ago and he is currently out on bail.

He is facing charges of rape, attempted murder, and assault. He handed himself over to police at the Brixton police station after a warrant of arrest was issued against him.

His bail was set at a whooping R10 000. This is not the first time that he has found himself in trouble with the law.

He was sentenced to 25 years in prison after he was found guilty of causing a car crash which killed the life of four innocent school children.

He was, however, releases on parole in 2017 and that is when he took up presenting.

His case is one of public interest because he has maintained his innocence and he is ready to clear his name.
