Adekunle Gold Brings Black-Tie Style and Afrobeats to the 2026 Ballon d’Or
Adekunle Gold brought a polished black-tie look to the 70th Ballon d’Or ceremony at the London Palladium, and the Nigerian singer made sure the night carried a touch of Afrobeats as well. Known to fans as AG Baby, he arrived in a double-breasted black tuxedo that balanced classic eveningwear with personal flair.
A Sharp Take on Black Tie

The tuxedo featured wide satin peak lapels, paired with a white pleated dress shirt and a black satin bow tie. The combination was simple in its black-and-white foundation, but far from boring. Adekunle Gold completed the outfit with glossy black patent shoes, keeping the silhouette clean and formal.
Accessories With Personality

The details elevated the look. On his lapel, he pinned a circular brooch with a blue centre stone and textured gold detailing. He also wore dark oval sunglasses, gold hoop earrings, a statement gold ring and a luxury wristwatch with a leather strap. The gold accents added warmth and individuality to the traditional black-tie formula.
From Red Carpet to After-Party Stage

The night was not only about fashion. Adekunle Gold took the stage at the official Ballon d’Or after-party, performing his hit song “Party No Dey Stop” alongside other fan favourites. His performance ensured that Nigerian music had a presence amid the gathering of football’s biggest names in London to celebrate the beautiful game.
With his tailored tuxedo and after-party set, Adekunle Gold brought both style and sound to one of football’s most anticipated evenings.
