Zlatan and Davita’s Relationship Timeline: From First Meeting to Wedding
Zlatan and Davita have been in the spotlight for weeks as their wedding approaches, with photos and videos from their celebrations appearing regularly ahead of the big day on Saturday. For anyone trying to piece together how the couple got here, here is a look back at the key moments in their relationship.
How Zlatan and Davita Met

In a YouTube interview, Zlatan explained that early in his career he was more focused on finding something to eat than on chasing women. He joked that he was serious about it, pointing to two of his songs titled CashApp and Paypal. On his first trip to London, he was trying to understand the banking system and asked a friend to come and help him. The friend arrived with Davita, and for the Sweet In The Middle singer, it was love at first sight.
Despite his confident stage presence, Zlatan is actually quite shy. Rather than asking Davita for her contact details himself, he asked his friend instead. Davita began showing him around London, driving him to Corchester in her small car and spending hours on the phone with him. She admitted she was wary of dating a celebrity, but Zlatan made her feel safe. As a bonus, he was the first to say “I love you.”
Starting a Family

Much of the relationship has stayed out of the public eye, but in 2020 the couple announced the arrival of their first son, Toluwalase Shiloh Ainoghena Omoniyi. The birth marked a shift from two people building a romance to a young family. Fans have caught glimpses of the boy, who has appeared in promotional content for his brand and provided the voiceover for the couple’s wedding announcement video.
By 2024, the largely private couple had welcomed a second son, Benaiah Oluwaseyi Tan Amanosi Omoniyi. Their family grew again, and they continued to support each other at events as partners. Their marital status became a topic of discussion among Nigerians, many of whom found it hard to understand why the couple would build a family without being married.
Rumours, Rings, and a Wedding Date

Earlier this year, rumours about a marriage began to circulate. Zlatan addressed them in a now-deleted Snapchat story after a fan asked how his wife was doing. He replied, “She’s the mother of my kids, but she’s not my wife yet, she’s fine.”
By March, the couple appeared in photos wearing what looked like matching wedding rings, and fans wasted no time zooming in to examine them. Davita added to the speculation by adding Zlatan’s surname, Omoniyi, to her Instagram username. Final confirmation came when an event planner shared pictures of the couple at a private ceremony.
Since then, the couple has shared a wedding announcement video with a date set for October 23rd. Their love story is set to continue with the wedding on Saturday.
